College Assistance Program
The role of the College Assistance Program Advisor is to:
  • Encourage students to graduate from high school and pursue a postsecondary education.
  • Assist students in the selection of postsecondary institutions and in the admission process.
  • Assist students in obtaining the necessary financial resources for a postsecondary education.
  • Help parents to understand the postsecondary process and the financial aid resources available to them.
CAP Advisors intercede on behalf of students to resolve problems with college admission and financial aid personnel, state scholarship officials, and federal financial personnel.  Advisors plan and facilitate groups that help students and parents learn about the college admission and financial aid process through a variety of events including the College Forum, College Fair, Career Day, College Presentations, College Field Trips and others.
