As you are reading, write a brief summary for each chapter that you read. You must do this for each chapter in the entire book.

    • Your name
    • Title of book
    • Author
    • Number of pages book contains
    • Description of setting
    • Description of main characters
    • A brief description of the plot

  3. The last page of your journal should be a reflection page. This page contains your
personal reaction to the book. It should be 2-3 paragraphs in length and explain what you liked about the book, didn't like about the book, if you would recommend it to a friend, and any other opinion you have about the novel.

TEACHER EVALUATION OF READING JOURNAL:

  1. It will count as your first project grade for the 2010-2011 school year.
